I have circulated information about the changes in the rubrics of Holy Week to diocesan clergy and musicians.
I am now preparing my first Nuptial Mass with the new translation - the Penitential Rite has been thrown in the bin.
What are you discovering?

More Nuptial Mass -
The Missal now fails to note that there are three distinct 'first paragraphs' to the Nuptial Blessing (A) - one of which the celebrant chooses in harmony with the Liturgy of the Word.
Well, that's what the former red instructions said.
Surely we are not now supposed to utter a thrice "O God who…" are we?
(I should say that there are now options A B and C for this blessing but the thrice "O God who…" in option A seems very odd)
I do like the inserts in the Eucharistic Prayers for the newly-wedded couple.

No, it hasn't. It was never there (although lots of priests, and Redemptorist Publications

The Missal is simply clarifying what was always the case. Interestingly, they have also specified that the Penitential Act is omitted in a Mass for the Conferral of Baptism, but not, for some unfathomable reason, for Confirmation (clearly an oversight).

LOL - rather than making a comparison with the St Luke Missal, I am looking at the Redemptorist Marriage Book. Oh well - back to the drawing board. Thank you SC.
