Well it does to the people who post here... dispassionate and reasoned debate, with a good deal of humour thrown in for good measure.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/mbradio3/F7497 ... ad=7289698 May I draw people's attention to this, please?
I have attempted to access my BBC messageboard account but am having difficulty logging in - otherwise I would certainly have responded to this!

Hare - if it were me, I wouldn't bother to respond. Leave 'em to it. There are better things to do in life.

I agree - although if I could access my account I would have done! (They have changed the log-in system and I can't be bothered to work it out!)

The radio 3 message board commentators seem to be a miserable lot. The members of Mander's discussion board
http://www.mander-organs.com/discussion/index.php?showtopic=2383&st=80&start=80 were far more positive about it. I recorded it on my magic box and eventually got round to listening to it, and I was suitably impressed. I loved the Magnificat. If only I had a congregation with the patience to listen to it.
