Choir guidelines

Well it does to the people who post here... dispassionate and reasoned debate, with a good deal of humour thrown in for good measure.

Re: Choir guidelines

Following in the spirit of this thread I had a 'beauty' last evening...
As I work on the local diocesan commission I get get many enquiries and calls about various things relating to church music etc.
Last night I received a call from an elderly woman (who plays the organ and conducts a small rural church choir) who needed to know how to 'cure' a lady who could not sing in tune - awfully flat apparently... and, she has been in the choir for years - the rest is history... you all know the scenario... however, in the same call she mentioned that the little electronic organ had been acting up this week - she described how its volume had significantly deteriorated for some reason. The lack of volume (and the ability to 'drown out' the 'crow' singer) was concerning her... but not as much as the aggravation caused by the 'crow' - The conversation continued for 15 minutes about the crow... Some gent in the choir passed a comment "Would someone ever let the cat out of the bag"...
Well, I terminated the conversation politely by suggesting that I have a phone number for an organ technician who may be able to repair the volume issue in the organ.
There was no other answer!
