Sing for Pleasure has opened applications for its Young Conducting Scholarship 2024-25. This specially designed, year-long programme offers promising young musicians, ages 18-25, funded places on Sing for Pleasure courses, plus one-to-one mentoring and support to further develop their skills. Sing for Pleasure is intent on broadening the representation of conductors and vocal leaders from global majority backgrounds in the UK, and each year, we aim to dedicate two scholarships to this commitment.
Sing for Pleasure champions the transformative power of the human voice by fostering high-quality singing in schools and choirs, providing unrivalled training for conductors, teachers and vocal leaders, working in community and healthcare settings, and by publishing outstanding choral resources and commissioning new music.
