Sunday 1 September is the beginning of the Season of Creation which continues until the feast of St Francis of Assisi on 4 October.
In a joint statement, Pope Francis, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and Archbishop Justin Welby, write, “Future generations will never forgive us if we miss the opportunity to protect our common home. We have inherited a garden; we must not leave a desert for our children.”
The Season of Creation website is filled with resources which you can use in your communities and families, and will be a place where global initiatives can come together.
The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Scotland has also prepared some useful resources, including liturgical resources. BCoS Season of Creation (pdf)
There are also reflections and resources on the Jesuit Missions website.
