Well it does to the people who post here... dispassionate and reasoned debate, with a good deal of humour thrown in for good measure.

The Ancient and Modern has some anomalies in his design. First hymn "Here I am Lord". I must have played this hundreds of times. For some odd reason the chorus is over the page and I had both books open at the chorus. It took me a verse to realise that people were not singing what I was playing! Yesterday last hymn at the piano was GIve thanks. At the rehearsal I said how many times do we sing each section and we agreed repeat the chorus and sing the verse once and then the chorus twice and end. But it seems the congregational books have it set out to be sung again so they kept going and I stopped and then joined in again. Moral - have a congregatinal book to hand at the console! Homer also nods! :)
