Easter joy

Well it does to the people who post here... dispassionate and reasoned debate, with a good deal of humour thrown in for good measure.

Easter joy

Post by organist »

I was on the bus and who do I meet but the Cardinal! LIke me he was going to the hospital. As we walked along I told him about the funerals I had attended and how Bishop Christopher had transformed the funeral by starting "The Lord is risen indeed!" to which we all replied "He is risen indeed!". Anglicans and Orthodox have this in the liturgy throughout the Easter season. Our Alleluias are often dull and perfunctory and the final dismissal even omitted! Said not sung is so dull. Where is the Easter joy!
