Bishop Hugh Gilbert, President of the Scottish Bishops’ Conference and a member of the Dicastery for Divine Worship, speaks on the new translation of the scriptures, the English Standard Version (Catholic Edition 2017), which will be used in the new Lectionary. The new Lectionary comes into effect in the dioceses of England & Wales and Scotland on the first Sunday of Advent this year.
