Psalms in a four week cycle

Well it does to the people who post here... dispassionate and reasoned debate, with a good deal of humour thrown in for good measure.

Psalms in a four week cycle

Post by gwyn »

Does anyone know of a twenty-eight day psalter that includes all 150 psalms?

Thanks folks,

Gwyn.

Thanks for responding Chris. The BCP's psalm cycle is thirty days, the rubric says that day thirty is repeated on day 31.

I've tried...no shortage of psalters over 1 or 2 weeks that include all 150 psalms in their entirety, but over 28 days I can't find anything.

Just curious here - what's wrong with the Divine Office? Or are you feeling particularly imprecatory?

Do you know, I hadn't considered the Divine Office cycle. Thanks for that. Does it include all 150 excluding crushing Babylon's children against rocks and other such delights? (Let the reader understand).

Reginald, That's exactly the problem. One would think that 28 day cycle formats would be plentiful. Maybe we could devise one.
