Sion Community

Well it does to the people who post here... dispassionate and reasoned debate, with a good deal of humour thrown in for good measure.

Has anyone had experience of a parish mission with the Sion Community?

What should be expected etc?

They used to be great (50 years ago!) but I hear tell that they are very trad now. Or at least, their school retreats are. I'm sure others will have wisdom about this, too.

We had their team(s) 8 years ago. Very much led by laity, with a priest just a team member. Great time for the community to find out new ways of praying, celebrating and studying Scripture. You get a visit a year ahead and a chance to tell them what your community seems to need; than a week of home visiting 1 week before the mission week. It's good to get your people to volunteer to put the visitors up and to help with all the daily refreshments, not to mention providing lunch for the team in the parish room that they use as their headquarters.
