To me, this has far more meaning, and is more truly dialogical than our current prayers (esp. the 'new' version with its rather odd translation).

Ignoring the questions of lack of content, and neοphilia for its own sake, I think I'd find that approach itself mind-numbing after a few goes.

I'd much rather see faithful treatment of traditional, rich content like the following!

I was glad to see that at the episcopal ordination this Wednesday at Westminster Cathedral (to which I had been invited as SSG chairman) there was a girl interpreting in sign language for a small group of deaf participants. She had quite a lot of work to do. Although the readings and all the prayers were printed in the 28-page service booklet, there was a good deal of choral singing, a homily and several speeches for her to communicate.

But nobly simple an episcopal ordination isn't! And is the new translation of Eucharistic Prayer 1 'nobly simple'? The several hundred concelebrants reciting together did come a bit unstuck at 'command that these gifts be borne by the hands of your holy Angel to your altar on high in the sight of your divine majesty'.

What the two Salvation Army officers present in the sanctuary made of it, I wonder...
