Rondeau - Jean-Jacques Mouret

Well it does to the people who post here... dispassionate and reasoned debate, with a good deal of humour thrown in for good measure.

Rondeau - Jean-Jacques Mouret

Post by keitha »

I am arranging (but not playing) the music for a wedding, and the happy couple would like to have this piece for the bride's entrance. Does anyone know of a published edition of it for organ solo? I can't find one anywhere. I am hoping to avoid having to make my own arrangement (the organist will not be able to 'busk' it from my organ and brass score). Help!

This piece is popular for weddings in the USA because it's the signature tune for TV's Masterpiece Theater.

You'll find a simple piano score at http://www.free-scores.com/download-sheet-music.php?pdf=8117 if this helps.

It appears in a piano/organ version in The Complete Wedding Collection, ed. Robert Schulze, IMP, 9-781-576239889 - haven't seen this so can't vouch for how grown-up an arrangement it is. (though because it's classified under 'PVG' -piano/vocal/guitar - I'd be wary of forking out!). What's presumably the same arrangement by Mr Schulze appears in a couple of other IMP collections, but there doesn't appear to be anything for two hands and feet available in the UK.
