On 28th April GIA announced that 'no charge' diocesan and parish printing of Grail IV psalms in service booklets will be permitted. The recording policy is still under consideration.

Which all sort of brings us full circle...

And yesterday afternoon it all seemed so simple- just don't sing anything in copyright not covered by either licence (for instance, Thine be the Glory), but now its somewhat more complicated again.

My other concern with recording (but lets not go down this sideshoot on this thread) is that the copy could easily get 'out there' and is open to criticism/mockery by the self appointed internet liturgy police were we ever to do anything that is other than the strictest interpretation of GIRM (which of course we never do )

I was being facetious (Shock! Horror!) pointing out that we can't take anything for granted. For example, Happy Birthday to You doesn't come out of copyright until 2016 – that's why you hardly ever hear all four lines sung in films.
