Teaching the teachers

Well it does to the people who post here... dispassionate and reasoned debate, with a good deal of humour thrown in for good measure.

Dont know if this belongs in this thread or in co ordinating parish music... but... in attempting to pre plan a Confirmation Mass ( welcoming the confirmees) for Sunday, I have been given the following choices from the young people themselves.

I the Lord of Sea and Sky
I watch the sunrise
If I were a butterfly

sigh

And here is me with me brand new copy of All that is hidden, longing to do Everyday God. I blame Youtube. Nope, I blame SSG. Without your help and formation I might just be delighted to do the above. :?
uh oh!

Dear Oops

As part of the confirmation preparation here - some of our music group join in the retreat weekend, planning liturgies which include new music and build on the best of the music that they know. The singing at the confirmation mass is much enriched as a result. And has been a good way to teach both the teachers and the musicians who learn so much more about how the candidates perceive what the sacrament means to them and can plan accordingly

Hope this helps
Helen
