Psallite Gloria(?)

Well it does to the people who post here... dispassionate and reasoned debate, with a good deal of humour thrown in for good measure.

No, we (sorry, they) already use that regularly. Thanks for the reply though.

I Googled 'Psallite Gloria' and found several references to an American setting of the Latin text (for SAB + piano + optional handbells) by Joyce Eilers, published by Hal Leonard and lasting about 90 seconds. Perhaps that's it.

I got the same result; I doubt it's the one, but thanks anyway

I reckon he means the Michael Joncas setting from the Psallite Mass. 6/8, quite jaunty and in G. If you have Gather Comprehensive (edition before last) it's no 209. Decani probably has it.

PP hummed, or rather monotoned a 6/8 rhythm to me the other day - bet that's it. If anyone has a spare copy, or could scan a page or 2 for me to look at, please pm me.

Many thanks

Try this. It's a GIA publication - you should be able to get it easily. I don't have the dots to hand, I'm afraid...

Thanks for this, but unfortunately I am getting a "General Error has occured" message when trying to open the file.

Does anyone know any more about the Psallite Mass please? Does it have all the movements, acclamations etc? Scored for U or SATB? Organ ot instruments?

Thanks

Your Realplayer is obviously more co-operative than mine!
