Following on from something in this week's Tablet - it seems that, in addition to schools not now having to provide for Masses on the Feasts of the Epiphany, Corpus Christi and Ascension we are to look forward to a 2/3 year spell (2008 onwards) when the remaining Holydays will fall at the weekend in any case.
Should we be lobbying the Bishops to introduce alternative days of obligation for us so that the 50%+ of our kids who don't go to Mass at all will not miss out? Anyone for Sacred Heart? Should we let some other apostles have a go instead of SS Peter and Paul.
Thankfully we can be sure that nobody in our schools system will take advantage of 3 years without Hs of Ob to suggest that there's no need to do them in the future!
