On Saturday the new constitution for the Curia was promulgated. It comes into force in June and is being formally announced at a Vatican Press Conference this morning. It is currently only available in Italian, but here is an article in English, which gives us a bit of a flavour of the contents of Praedicate Evangelium:

Re: The new constitution for the Roman Curia - Praedicate Evangelium
Interesting that it contained a reference to the "Extraordinary Form", which some traditionalists interpreted to mean that this term was still acceptable.
The truth is more prosaic. Large parts of this lengthy document were drafted before Traditionis Custodes was issued, and this remaining reference was left in as the result of an editorial oversight. The Rome press conference on 21 March admitted this, and on 22 March a revised version of the paragraph in question was issued.
Others have noted that the much-trumpeted fact that all the congregations have been renamed dicasteries and may be headed by a lay person is not quite accurate. It seems the Dicastery for Bishops and the Dicastery for Divine Worship still both require their leader to be a bishop or cardinal.

And the chances of a Dicastery being headed by a married lay woman are ..........?
