Well it does to the people who post here... dispassionate and reasoned debate, with a good deal of humour thrown in for good measure.

It may be that all members are busy preparing for the Year of Mercy but there have been some noteworthy announcements regarding Rites of Marriage and Confirmation, Lectionary, Psalter, DIvine Office from the Bishops Conference and Liturgy Office recently.
You will find details at http://www.liturgyoffice.org.uk/

What caught my eye there was the use of the New Grail Psalter in a revised lectionary.
Major work for those of us who write settings of the responsorial psalms. :(

Don't start too quickly! The Revised Grail Psalter is already due for further revision. The US bishops have apparently received permission from Rome not only to reverse the changes between the "final" text of 2008 and the text which came back from Rome in 2010, but also to make further modifications too. It seems that no one knows exactly what these are, and whether the rest of the English-speaking world will have to have them too or whether individual conferences can request their own changes as well. The statement on the CBCEW website stating baldly that RGP 2010 will be used appears not to be the end of the story.
