Tech help please
Hello Folks - I've been away from the forum for a while and now I find I can't read it! - the font is just too small! Have I changed anything? - well, almost everything I guess: windows xp to windows 7; canstant updating of Firefox (no option there) and possibly the Board softwre has changed as well, but I have a larger than normal screen bought to help my fading eyesight and I used to work with quite a large font. Now I can find no way to change it.
Should I be researching wWindows? (I've succeeded in increasing the font size in many applications) - Firefox? - or is there some setting in the board software?

Welcome back Q! We will look into this for you. I switch between XP, W7 and Mac and it hasn't caused a problem and we haven't changed the software, so I suspect that it is to do with the defaults are your end - but we will see.

I've just had a little play! If your browser's tool bar has a 'zoom' function (I use Chrome, which does), you can increase the size - which may be a quick, if not a permanent fix (although I have logged in and out a few times and the size has remained 'large'). I hope that helps. If not, please let us know - I'm sure you won't be alone in this!

I use Cmd and "+" to increase font size.
Might be Ctrl and "+" on a PC.

In Firefox go to "options", then click on the "content" tab. You can adjust the size of the font there.
NB if you don't like Win 7, don't go near Win 8. It was dreamt up by a spotty faced 14 year old geek who doesn't see the outside of his bedroom apart from on Feb 29th.

If you have a mouse with a wheel on its back, you can zoom font sizes by holding Ctrl down and rolling the wheel.

Re: Tech help please
That enlarges the whole screen and can put items out of view.
If you use Cmd + roll the wheel it will just enlarge the font in the browser window.

Yes, Ctrl and "+" on a PC, but note that the "+" has to be the one on the numeric keypad, not the top row. Similarly, on a laptop where the numeric keypad is embedded among normal keys, Ctrl and "Fn" and "+" will do it.
To reduce the font size, use the minus key instead of the plus key.
