When we are one....

Well it does to the people who post here... dispassionate and reasoned debate, with a good deal of humour thrown in for good measure.

Sorry, Dot, you will be sorely disappointed.

Merseysider can never be accused of being luke warm (Rev 3: 15-16) and so has my nomination. I invariably read his posts first.

I wonder what I did with my time before this forum came into being. I think I may have practic(s)ed the piano/organ, this would part way explain how I managed to omit 2 bars of the Gloria at the Midnight Mass of the Nativity. Fortunately the choir omitted them too.

"One hymn to the tune of another" was good for hearty guffaw or two along with late arrivals of course.

Here's to another year! The first one's been wonderful.

b.t.w. What did you think of the Gospel Acclamation? (Southwark Cathedral's televised midnight mass)?

And the psalm with no response?
And the impossible Sanctus?
I switched off.

Interesting that the Beeb went RC on both radio and television though - two Catholic Archbishops on the air waves (or should that be down the digital phone line?)

...and the fact that Cardinal Cormac was on Thought for the day Christmas Eve, after Anglicans Canterbury and York declined.

Merseysider (Gwyn)

and the results...
Well, since I have no shortage of virtual statuettes, ALL the nominees are winners. However, Merseysider managed to attract three nominations from three different people, and therefore is the overall winner, receiving an especially valuable virtual statuette.

Congratulations to Merseysider and to all the nominees.

I would like to thank everyone who made this possible:
Fr Graeme (my pp) - who humours me
The Immaculate Singers – who inspire me
The congregation of Our Lady Immaculate – who put up with me
All those who nominated me
I couldn't have done it without you.
To you all, cyber hugs and cyber mwahs.
