24 June Birth of John The Baptist

Do you mean the clapping Gloria new words as a hymn? The temptation there will be to omit/ speak the Gloria because a refrain has already be sung. Or am I too pessimistic?

I thank you FOR…… the wonder of my being.

I think the issue here is more the Antiphon than the way it's set! At least we don't have to sing the American version: "I praise you, for I am wonderfully made."

Surely you mean that it is a LHC Mass.

Mike also doesn't know how to remove hyphens when substituting new lyrics for old.

(OT! "In contemporary Liverpool English, words from both these lexical sets are typically realised with the same vowel, i.e., Liverpool English does not feature the contrast found in most other varieties of English between
· [fɛː] fare : [fɛː] fur
· [hɛː] hare : [θɛːd ] third"
More here. But it's well known and well documented.)

All we need now is an equivalent analysis of the Galilean dialect spoken by John to get us back on topic.
All I can offer - but I could well be in error:
BET YALDOOKH BREEKHAA (M)
BET YALDAKH BREEKHAA (F)
(Blessed be your birthday)
Mark 1:6 should be interesting to listen to when proclaimed in Liverpool - was John wearing a garment of hair or hare?

Hang on, those are homophones in any variety of English! Maybe he had borrowed a garment from (Ben) Hur, though.

Lepus europaeus judeae - eaten on birthday feasts? Easily mistaken - at a distance - for a young camel?
