It's probably my fault (again) for relying on a "layman's" missal for many years, but I thought the great three-times-repeated Alleluia had gone from the Easter Vigil many years ago. Now however, benefitting from a link in another thread, I have the whole of the "altar" copy of the Roman Missal to consult (without having to drive ten miles and burgle the church!). So, I find the Alleluia there in all its glory.
Our Deacon is willing to attempt it instead of the simple plainsong one printed in "The New Holy Week Missalette" which we have used for years and as the rubrics permit the Psalmist to sing it instead of the Priest "if necessary" I am assuming that the Deacon may do so if he can sort it out with the PP.
Can anyone point me to a link to a training video or audio file? - I can't think of any form of words sufficiently precise to locate it through Google. I though I had managed it when among a variety of "matches" on YouTube I actually found the plainsong in a clip from the Vigil at the Oratory (not sure which Oratory) but sadly it is not without errors, so not ideal to learn from. The usual sites (Chant Cafe etc, and the links from the Roman Missal site pointed to by our own site here) do not seem to offer it.
Does anyone use it as given? - and does your assembly cope?

We used to use it every year with former pp but are not using it now. Found this on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6AGp3XujabA

Thanks for that, kerrezza - a bit on the speedy side, but accurate.
I also note that it's the Deacon singing, so a double winner.

I live in hope. That's great to hear, though so fast. We used to have a single long Alleluia intoned by a cantor and repeated by the choir, before going into the Alleluia psalm. Last year PP just sang the Plainsong.
