Paul Inwood in The Tablet

Well it does to the people who post here... dispassionate and reasoned debate, with a good deal of humour thrown in for good measure.

Paul Inwood in The Tablet

Post by Hare »

During this morning's homily (I'd heard it twice already!) I read an article in The Tablet on parish music by Paul Inwood. (I think it was an early October edition)

While it didn't, at least to me, say anything radically new, it gave a good concise history of liturgical music up to the prtesent day, and I hope it was read by many "people in the pew" - although I have had no feedback from my lot (surprise, surprise!)

I have seen no mention of this article on the forum (unless I missed it)..........anyone got any comments? :?:

Yes, I saw it. I plan to roll my response to it into my unfinished and belated letter about the earlier plainsong-as-universal-panacea article: the two pieces are poles apart.

Realistically, though, that's going to have to wait until half-term (next week!)
