What will you enter to on Sept 4th?

Well it does to the people who post here... dispassionate and reasoned debate, with a good deal of humour thrown in for good measure.

Yes, we have a proper procession – but not with a proper.
Our clergy and servers process in to a song chosen to fit, as closely as possible, the Gospel – something the proper propers rarely do.

Ditto, "O Lord all the World" reflects sentiments in all the readings for the day, including "alive or dead we belong to the Lord" in the 2nd reading. Though I won't be planning 4th Sept till Monday, I'm pretty sure we will come in to it.

Quaeritor, if you are visiting Faversham, you should also visit Rainham - the music may not be as good but we have at least as much fun as Faversham!

Copious amounts of humble pie following my previous post - it helps to look at the correct readings for the day

Having now done the planning and actually looked at the right readings for Sept 4th, we will be entering to "Brother, let me be your Servant" (Brother, Sister, let me Serve you in some resources).

O Lord All The World has relevance to the readings on Sept. 11th and we will be entering to it then.

Whilst I'm at it, may I thank the compilers and recommend the 'Preparing the Liturgy' supplement in the SSG journal. This used to be available on the website but sadly no longer seems to be there.

On the question of Entry Antiphon/Psalm as opposed to Song/Hymn, whilst English Bishops are still having entrance hymns for their funerals, I don't intend to change! The Pope entered to several hymns at Cofton Park....
