Re: The Graduale Parvum (Continuum)
Graduale Parvum, László Dobszay with Guy Nicholls Cong Orat, Martin Baker, Bill East and Laurence Hemming (editors), forthcoming T&T Clark (Continuum)
a small gradual in both Latin and English for all forms of the Mass for use in parish churches and coordinated with the new ICEL translation of the Roman Missal
Looks as if it will be one of the foundations of the Newman Institute of Liturgical Music

Re: The Graduale Parvum (Continuum)
What I really would like to know is if this volume has any songs in it that are going to be as
popular as 'Here I am, Lord' or 'Christ, be our light'.
Has this music been tried in any UK or US (or Oz / NZ) parishes?

Very good, John. In fact, almost as good as Eastern Promise!

Well said John. You've hit the nail right on the nose again - it's popularity that is the key here in this game.

Might be worth noting that chant recordings and the like have been selling well in recent times.

And simultaneously, and quite rightly, completely ignored by most Catholic clergy and liturgists.

I frequently offer up thanks for the liturgists.

What would the Church do without them?

How did it get by for so long without them?

I don't have any issue with their being ignored, but why 'quite rightly' EP (just curious, although we are beginning to get a bit off topic).

Because, Dom P, as many here would agree, the less chant the better. ( Actually, come to think of it, shouldn't we change our name?)
Re: The Graduale Parvum (Continuum)
I'd ignore him, Dom P. He thinks he's God's gift to comedy.
