Economical with the truth...

Well it does to the people who post here... dispassionate and reasoned debate, with a good deal of humour thrown in for good measure.

Economical with the truth...

Post by musicus »

... about Liturgiam authenticam.

On the Pray Tell blog, Anthony Ruff OSB calls out Msgr Moroney:

Is Msgr Moroney being economical with the truth, or is he just befuddled?

Definitely economical with the truth. And I believe it isn't the first time he's said the things that Anthony Ruff is reporting. Perhaps he thinks that if he says them often enough, they will become the truth.

On a par with the powers that be suggesting that the new translation has been warmly welcomed and accepted. As a church we go back in a similar vein, at least as far as preaching the benefits of crusades which must have killed almost as many crusaders as saracens.

History will be the judge....
