Beatification Liturgy

Well it does to the people who post here... dispassionate and reasoned debate, with a good deal of humour thrown in for good measure.

Beatification Liturgy

Post by presbyter »

Oh well, if there's little interest in today's Wedding liturgy in Westminster Abbey, I'll try this coming "Divine Mercy" Sunday's liturgy in Rome.

Here y'are everybody. Scroll down for the Mass.

Thank you for that Presbyter.
Missa de Angelis, Credo III and standard Pater Noster. Just what no-one round here wants to learn.... :( I know they are not considered 'best practice' by some on this forum, but they do seem to be the international norm.

I have never noticed anyone suggest that they are best practice, but they are the only settings widely known across the whole church. Perhaps, as an interesting exercise, we could try to agree on a replacement for the whole world to learn.

What have people got against Kyrie VIII?

I see now why the vernacular music from the vatican always sounds so dull. They seem to choose it that way. I think the Sixteen would be hard pressed to make that lot sound interesting.

Presbyter, you have done me a useful service. A few years ago two tone deaf parishioners heard the "Chaplet of Divine Mercy" somewhere else, and brought it back to our parish, and taught it to the congregation of weekday mass. It is so mangled that I have been totally unable to write it down. At last I will be able to start the almost impossible job of correcting them. Orate pro me!
