Late arrivals at the Liturgists' Ball

Well it does to the people who post here... dispassionate and reasoned debate, with a good deal of humour thrown in for good measure.

After the Forum's post-free weekend I must say that's a wonderful Late Arrival. Fantastic!

But is it all due to Ron O'Meigh?
Look, here comes chaos: the troublesome gatecrasher siblings Jenny, Sis, and Levi Ticus, stirring it up and causing a mass Exodus by large Numbers of invited guests. Someone really ought to throw the book at them; nay, make that the Pentateuch.

The mercury has just burst out of the top of the alanometer.
Sorry, this is an in-joke. Rather than scratching your head over it, go away and work out the next move for Morning Prayer Crescent.

So sad, don't you think, that Rome has now banned Sequence Dancing from our liturgists' Ball?

And coming in from Hong Kong, please welcome Mrs and Mrs Ho Li and their three sons Ho Li, Ho Li, Ho Li.

And from the United States, here's benedict - known to us all as BenedictUS

And arriving already with a hang-over is Mr Quiem - he looks a real wreck..

And arriving again from Sweden, adhering strictly to the Missal of Pius V, are Mr and Mrs Gospel and their son Lars...

And please welcome Mrs and Mrs Phon who have brought their close relative, Aunty....

And here from Eastern Rites are Mr an Mrs Agion and their daughter Trish

And here is Mr nd Mrs Amnesis and their daughter Anne - they've remembered to come this year

And from Wales, please welcome those liturgical pioneers from the mid twentieth century, Mr and Mrs Aloguemass and their son Dai

And entering in full vesture are Mr and Mrs Subdeacon. They've long been surplice to requirements.

And here are Mr and Mrs Candlesticks and their half-dozen rather fat children Big Six

And here's Mrs Tarboy and her son Al, and Mr and Mrs Targirl and their son Al too

And entering fresh from their editorial efforts on the revised general instruction are Mr and Mrs Dingatthechairhereadsthcollect and their son Stan

Notwithstanding the fact that Mr Quiem looks a right wreck, his wife has just arrived with their son Ray.

Dot

Dot is playfully referring to me and my awful jokes.

Oh well, I have lurked here long enough. Time to go public...

I think people are shy of playing Morning Prayer Crescent because they don't understand the rules(!!!!!!). Now, let's see....
....St Gregory the Great, Cheltenham, no, Chelmsford.
Oh dear, I just thought, if you move in the direction of New Hall, you must be on the right lines.

Wish me more joy on my route finding between Stone, Staffs and Fawley Court, Oxon. (Comment exclusive to members of the Archdiocese of Birmingham)

errr - cough, cough - u can't do that on a zone 1 day saver - remember we are using the Wiseman Privilege and not the Manning Manoeuvre - and appearances of the Heenan Hologram are disallowed unless they are ex cathedra

St Pius X, North Kensington psalm 41/42 - send forth your light and your truth, let these be my guide

In replying to myself, I am playing under the King James' decree (and it's very lonely!)

Cathedral Church of Saint George, Southwark: ...the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. (psalm 91:13 Authorised Version)

Bit of a flyer, this, but perhaps using the Jubilee Line Extension and the nearby underpass:

Brompton Oratory

I remember the days that are past:
I ponder all your works...

Lord, make haste and answer;
for my spirit fails within me...
- Psalm 142(143)

pirate (but I may be looking through the telescope with the wrong eye)
