Unison Choir Items

Well it does to the people who post here... dispassionate and reasoned debate, with a good deal of humour thrown in for good measure.

Some of us work more slowly than you, Nick - I'll settle for quick fixes where I can find them!

And one that is giving a lot of pleasure to my small choir, and the enrichment to our worship has been commented on by priest and people

In which case it is, of course, worth every penny.

But I could only find three or four pieces our parish might use in which case, I couldn't justify the outlay of £225!

Ah - so you have 16 more in your choir than I do in mine! I knew that maths O Level would come in handy one day!

And now you've left me with a quadratic equation to solve.
Will be back to you in a month or so!

I hope it hasn't...

You said the total price was £225 (Heck! That £ is had to find on my keyboard...)
Hare said you have 16 more people than in Hare's choir and you, knowing there are 18 in yours, did the math and got 2.
I can check that: working off of a price £12.50 from Amazon, 225/12.50 = 18

But Hare didn't use £12.50, but was out by £4 per copy. Now, if Hare had used £16.50 per copy, we have gotten 225/16.5 = 13 (or so) and even I know that Hare cannot have minus 3 people in the choir... Hare musta been using £8.50 and 225/8.5 = 26 or so. I take it we can forget the extra almost half a person! Hare has 10 folks in the choir.

Nothing quadratic in there - and even if there were, many quadratics can be simplified... a bit like those flexible anthems. (Neatly back on topic, thus avoiding an ursine reprimand.)

Give or take the odd "point-something" of a person! I think we paid £12.95 per copy, but I was working on £ 8.95 (wherever I got that from - Hares are not the brightest of creatures :-@ )
