Happy 4th July

Well it does to the people who post here... dispassionate and reasoned debate, with a good deal of humour thrown in for good measure.

Happy 4th July

Post by Vox Americana »

What a great day today! Sun shining, sky a glorious color blue, 71 degrees forecast and a celebration thrown in for good measure. Guess you'll not be joining in that one... Heck, any excuse for a party! 8)

Thanks to presbyter, I now have the rules to Mornington Crescent, and thanks to the BBC, I can listen to the program too. Not too sure I'm on your wavelength... or even the same planet with that Liturgists' Ball thread. Just as well it's a vacation weekend, so I can study

Good to meet you, Vox. Such an usual first name. You share it with someone called Clara.

Happy July 4!

No, Big Bear, I'm not from those parts. Right seaboard, wrong state. :P
Tea's still not too common in these parts though, least not like I'm told you English like it. I'll stick to the coffee!

Sure, Vox is a little (un)usual.
Guess my Ma knew best: 'Vox dicentis: clama; et dixi : Quid clamabo!' is the opening of the Isaiah reading for Feast of John the Baptist, my birthday.

It's good to meet you too, pirate - never met a real live one before. How come you have no avatar? I'm imagining such a manly black beard, and a scar and an eye-patch. Not to forget that parrot!

Too busy cleaning out the parrot's cage, mate, to work out how to do avatars. Avatar is, however, the name of the parrot.

As you're not coming to Summer School you'll never know about the beard or the eyepatch, or where my tattoos are...

Arr Jim, lad!

You can't quite see my tatoos from there either :D

Is your parrot a Norwegian Blue?

'fraid not.

I did once live quite near Purley, though. ('Purley, squire! Famous place! Nudge, nudge   ')

Sorry, couldn't resist it. Will try to keep on-topic in future.
