Hello

I love all kinds of music from early english to classical/baroque and everything else!

Re: I want to sing!

Hi there,
The Priory Choir I joined will 'rest' during the summer months

I am looking for ATB singers, early music instrumentalists to join and sing for friendship and to practice early music - praising God of course.

My parish comes under Liverpool Archidocese, but I live in Lancashire area!

Re: Composing for beginners

I am a beginner - I have not composed anything before (not professionally, but I studied an Open University Music Course in the mid 1990s and composed two pieces of music - one in the style of Mozart and one in the style of JS Bach - I couldn't remember how to do this now) - I wanted to set the ...

Nick, Perhaps little notes should be put on the pews ... with a big notice on the door as you go in Please note, this is a Holy Place and we would ask you to respect the prayer environment for other people. Please do not smoke, drink, or eat at any time also please respect the meaning of the Mass ...

I have been given a beautiful upright piano - Mornington & Weston, London and it's beautiful ... I want to relearn to play - in order that I may help out at Mass in the future - how many hours of practice do you recommend? Do you recommend any tutor books? I last played properly over 20 years ago ...

Yes, Merseysider, I have changed my location - to Lancashire I do belong to NWEMF but sadly have not been to many workshops - I lead a kind of solitary but busy life. I think I have mentioned elsewhere that I like to sing - early music is also a favourite of mine too ... my heroine is Emma Kirkby ...

My goodness - what politics!

I thought I was in shaky circumstances but this sounds very very scary.

I hope God intervened and sorted people out.

It's just not fair on dedicated people like yourself - imagine if you had a tantrum and refused to play the organ.

I think I would like to come to the Summer School - probably in 2008 - I'll have to start saving straight after Christmas. Yes, I have decided to become a member of the SSG - you have wonderful things happening.

This year I am going to Walsingham for a week - looking forward to that too.

I would lurve to tape/record hymns/worship music - but then - I am not an instrumentalist and would need music to accompany me! It is also nice to sing with another singer to harmonize etc. I have been wondering where do I exactly fit in - I want to take my music seriously - I want to praise God - I ...
